At any given time, Schlessinger MD Skin Research Center may be performing up to 25 clinical research trials. This degree of clinical research is unparalleled in clinical practice. In fact, Dr. Schlessinger and Schlessinger MD Skin Research Center conduct more dermatology clinical trials than Creighton University and the University of Nebraska Dermatology departments combined. We look forward to offering you the opportunity to participate in one of our clinical trials, ranging from dermatology to cosmetic surgery.
Prurigo Nodularis
CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION
- 19 and older male/female
- Diagnosis of PN for at least 3 months
- Severe itch with lesions present
Vitiligo – enrolling soon!
CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION
- Male or Female
- Adolescents only
- Clinical diagnosis of non-segmental vitiligo for at least 3 months
- Present on face and body
Chronic spontaneous urticaria
CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION
- Male or Female
- Age 19 years or older
- Recurrent pruritus, or itching, with hives
Hidradenitis Suppurativa
CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION
- Male or Female
- Age 19 years or older
- Have moderate to severe symptoms or lesions of Hidradenitis Suppurativa for greater than 12 months
- More than 5 lesions in two different anatomical locations
Atopic Dermatitis
CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION
- Male or Female
- Pediatric study: Ages 2 – 12 years
- Adult study: Age 12 years or older
- Have mild, moderate or severe Atopic Dermatitis
- Atopic Dermatitis covering at least 10% of body area
- Chronic Atopic Dermatitis present at least 1 year
Alopecia Areata – 3 open studies
CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION
- Male or Female
- Age 19 and older
- All studies require participants to have suffered 50%, or more, hair loss
- Patchy alopecia symptoms, may qualify
Psoriasis
CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION
- Male or Female
- Adult Studies: Age 19 years or older
- Moderate to severe plaque psoriasis symptoms
