Dr. Schlessinger has been treating signs of skin aging for more than 25 years and has experience with numerous lasers and light devices for these treatments. During the procedure, Dr. Schlessinger will use the HALO® laser on the skin resulting in a cellular rejuvenation of the skin on the face and body.

HALO® laser skincare treatments are suitable and safe for all skin types, though it can result in some post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (dark spots) in darker skinned individuals. For these patients, it is usually best to consider MOXI, an alternative laser.

Because of its fractionated nature, most patients require one to two HALO® treatments to achieve their goals depending on the intensity of each treatment. Then, your practitioner can help you maintain these results with a HALO® maintenance treatment once or twice per year as needed.

Our team may offer you a high-grade topical anesthetic before treatment. Additionally, topical cooling treatments may also be used to keep the skin cool and comforted during and after each treatment.

HALO® is a safe, easy way to achieve the skin-smoothing, brightening results you desire. These treatments are fast, effective and suitable for all skin types. Each treatment is completely customizable and tailored to your unique skin care goals.

Yes, there will be swelling, sometimes significant, for the first day or two. This could leave your eyes swollen, so it is best not to do HALO® before an event. There will also be crusting on the face or neck or other areas treated for the first six to seven days. This is usually very minor crusting that is easily covered up and looks like a tan. Dr. Schlessinger and his team can provide medications to diminish these symptoms if and when they occur or prior to treatment.

“HALO® is one of the most impressive non-invasive treatments I have ever seen. People can see an immediate tightening and glow with improvement of the quality of the facial, neck and chest areas after treatment. We often combine it with the BBL HERO and/or SkinTyte for further improvement, but it results in a very nice improvement not only immediately, but over time. Generally, there is swelling that will last about a day, but after that it is easy to go out and about. Crusting will occur for the first few days and then a beautiful glowing skin is revealed. We recommend one to two treatments over a period of a month or so, but most patients repeat it every six months or so if they wish to see continued improvement. Depending on the depth of the treatment, we will use various topical anesthetics, which help to make the procedure nearly painless.”
